Wike speaks on Adeleke
Wike said Adeleke’s decision to meet with Tinubu was in line with the advice he had earlier given him.
The FCT minister has continued to maintain that political alliances and realignments are taking shape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He has also expressed support for President Tinubu’s expected bid for another term, while urging political leaders to work together.
Wike’s comments come amid growing discussions over the political realignment ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke’s meeting with Tinubu
During his visit to the Presidential Villa, Adeleke expressed appreciation to Tinubu for what he described as the President’s role in ensuring a peaceful and credible electoral process in Osun State.
The meeting attracted attention because of the political implications surrounding the governor’s relationship with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his political allies and the growing camp around President Tinubu.
Adeleke’s victory has also increased his influence within Osun politics as he prepares for another four-year term.
2027 political calculations
With the 2027 elections approaching, political realignments have continued across the country.
Wike has been one of the prominent figures advocating political cooperation around Tinubu, while several political leaders have been holding consultations and meetings ahead of the next presidential contest.
The FCT minister’s latest remarks about Adeleke are therefore likely to fuel further discussion about the Osun governor’s political direction and his relationship with the various political camps.
For now, Adeleke remains focused on his second term in Osun State, while his recent engagements with Tinubu and Wike continue to attract political attention.
