Nigerian skit maker and content creator Carter Efe has reportedly been involved in a tense roadside confrontation with a Lagos agbero.
A video circulating online shows a man repeatedly striking Efe’s luxury SUV during the encounter. According to reports surrounding the footage, Efe confronted the man after earlier warnings allegedly failed to stop the altercation.
The situation reportedly escalated when the man was said to have displayed a firearm and made claims about belonging to a cult group.
The incident, captured from inside the vehicle, has generated mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised Efe for standing his ground, others urged motorists to avoid physically confronting street touts, particularly in situations where weapons or groups of people may be involved.
The footage has also renewed discussions about the frequent tensions between motorists and agberos in Lagos, especially around roadside payments, traffic and disputes involving commercial transport activities.
