Suspected bandits have reportedly attacked Beli village in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State, allegedly abducting the local All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, Alhaji Audu Fanka Salisu Yahaya.
The attack reportedly occurred at about 1 a.m. on Tuesday, marking the third consecutive day of reported attacks in parts of the state.

According to a source who spoke to DAILY POST on condition of anonymity, the gunmen invaded the community and began shooting sporadically before heading to the residence of the APC chairman.
The attackers reportedly forced their way into Yahaya’s residence, brought him out and took him away.
A young resident was also reportedly shot during the attack and died, while several other residents were said to have sustained gunshot injuries.
Yahaya is reportedly a close associate of the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, who hails from the same local government area.
The latest incident comes amid growing security concerns in parts of Kano State.
On Sunday, suspected bandits reportedly attacked Chiromawa in Garin Malam Local Government Area, where three people were killed and another resident was abducted. The abducted resident was later reported to have escaped.
Another reported attack occurred on Monday in Rantan community, Bebeji Local Government Area, where two people were reportedly killed.
The latest incident in Beli has heightened concerns among residents, who are calling for stronger security measures to protect communities in the affected areas.
As of the time of filing this report, security agencies had yet to release an official statement confirming the attack or providing details on efforts to rescue the alleged abducted APC chairman.
