Nigerian teenage winger David Oluwaseyi Oludase has taken a major step in his football career after completing a move from Ikon Allah Football Academy to Swedish top-flight club AIK on a long-term contract until December 2029. The highly rated youngster impressed during a trial in Sweden and will now continue his development with AIK’s academy while working towards breaking into the senior team.
Oludase, born on May 11, 2008, is a left-footed right winger known for his pace, technical ability and strong first touch.
AIK confirmed that the 18-year-old has signed an agreement running until December 31, 2029, with the initial plan for him to feature with the club’s academy.
The Nigerian youngster spent a month training with AIK’s P19 and senior teams during his trial before the Swedish club decided to offer him a permanent contract.
AIK recruitment manager Miika Takkula praised Oludase’s qualities and potential, highlighting his technical ability, speed and first touch.
Takkula, however, noted that the teenager still has areas to improve, particularly his decision-making and actions in the final third.
Despite those areas for development, AIK were impressed by Oludase’s attitude and commitment during his trial.
The move represents another opportunity for a promising Nigerian youngster to develop his career in European football.
Oludase will now focus on adapting to Swedish football, gaining valuable experience with AIK’s academy and working towards earning opportunities with the senior team.
