Manchester United have announced the departure of two midfielders ahead of the transfer deadline, with Jayce Fitzgerald and Dan Gore both leaving the club on loan.
The Red Devils confirmed the moves in separate announcements on their official website.
Jayce Fitzgerald joins Rotherham United
Manchester United midfielder Jayce Fitzgerald has joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old midfielder spent last season regularly featuring for United’s Under-21 side, making 16 appearances in Premier League 2 as the team reached the final.
Fitzgerald has also been involved with the senior squad, having been named among the substitutes for three first-team matches during the 2024/25 campaign.
His move to Rotherham represents an opportunity to gain regular senior football and continue his development away from Old Trafford.
Dan Gore joins Luton Town
Another Manchester United midfielder, Dan Gore, has also left the club on loan.
The 21-year-old has agreed to join Luton Town until the end of the 2026/27 season, subject to registration.
Gore has previously gained senior experience through loan spells and has also made appearances for Manchester United’s first team.
The midfielder made his senior United debut in 2023 and has continued his development through temporary moves to other clubs.
The two departures are part of Manchester United’s squad adjustments as the transfer deadline approaches, with both players expected to benefit from regular first-team football during their respective loan spells.
